This form is for students who wish to take a hiatus from the university due to the COVID-19 situation for all or part of the 2020-2021 academic year. If you wish to withdrawal completely from the university, please fill out the online
University Withdrawal Form.

We will process your hiatus from the university but there are several things we need you to confirm that you understand before we process your request.
Please read and acknowledge the following statements.
By taking a hiatus from Oglethorpe, you will continue to have access to your Oglethorpe email and OASIS accounts. We will send official communications regarding returning from hiatus to your Oglethorpe email account. You will also be able to access online services available through the Philip Weltner Library during your hiatus.

When you are ready to return to the institution, you must submit a
Readmission Application
(a short one page form). We will communicate to you about the need to submit this form as we approach the time for registration so that you can register when you normally would. Please make sure to meet any deadlines listed in these communications to remain on track in your course progressions.

Transient Student page
of the HUB website. This is to protect you. This is the way you can make sure what credit you will receive at Oglethorpe for any courses you take while on hiatus.
We cannot guarantee that courses will be transferred back to Oglethorpe University without pre-approval.
