APPLICATIONS FOR FIRST-YEAR, TRANSFER AND ADULT STUDENTS

Please review our application options below to determine the correct application to complete and submit.

Applications for First-Year Students

Early Action
Early Action allows first-year students who have a strong interest in the University to apply early and receive a quick response. Completed applications with supporting materials must be postmarked by November 15. The $50 application fee is waived for Early Action applicants. Early Action applicants who are admitted and indicate an interest in scholarships will be considered prior to Regular Decision candidates. (Please note that Early Action is non-binding.)

Regular Decision
Regular Decision enables first-year students to apply at any time. Fall 2016 applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis beginning immediately after Early Action reviews (mid-November) and continue as long as space in the class is available. Decision notifications will typically be released within two weeks of completion unless additional information is needed. First-year students applying for Spring or Summer 2017 should apply Regular Decision.

Application for Transfer Students

Students who have enrolled at another accredited college or university after completing their secondary school education are considered transfer students. Students who have completed 1-23 credit hours are considered "freshman transfers," and students who have completed 24+ credit hours are "transfers".

Application for Adult Students (22+) (ADP)

Students who are beginning their undergraduate education or returning to college and are 22 years of age or older are considered adult students.

Regular Admission
Adult students who plan to enroll in a degree seeking program with Oglethorpe can apply any time using the regular admission application. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. This program is both for first time college students as well as transfers and additional degree seekers. Students who have completed 1-23 credit hours at another college or university are considered "freshman transfers," and students who have completed 24+ credit hours are "transfers".
